Grab a New Hilton Honors Credit Card – Now Offering Increased Sign-Up Bonuses – to Save and Earn on Your Summer Vacation

American Express and Hilton are offering increased sign-up bonuses on a few of their credit cards.

This increased bonus offer runs through April 5, 2023.

While not quite as good as some of the offers we saw last year, these aren’t too bad if you’re looking to add to your Hilton Honors points balance.

Here’s a quick overview of each Amex Hilton card and links to application pages. Links are Savings Beagle’s referral links for which we’ll receive a points bonus for each approved application. Thank you if you use our links to apply.

HILTON HONORS FAMILY OF CARDS

The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card and the Hilton Honors American Express Card have increased sign-up bonus offers available now through the first part of April.

The Hilton Honors Aspire card is offering its usual 150,000 point bonus with a $4,000 spend in the first 3 months from card approval.

Savings Beagle’s referral links are currently providing the same sign-up bonus as is publicly offered.  Be sure to check the current sign-up bonus amounts against American Express’ publicly available amounts and go with the better deal.

HILTON HONORS AMERICAN EXPRESS SURPASS CARD

150,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after spending $3,000 within the first 6 months from card approval.

Points Earning

  • 12 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent at Hilton hotels and resorts
  • 6 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets and U.S. gas stations
  • 3 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent on all other purchases

A few of the card’s benefits include:

Complimentary Hilton Gold Status.  Gold status provides free breakfast during your Hilton stays (some restrictions/exclusions), which is a really nice perk and a money-saver. Although, as a result of Covid, that’s been changed to a daily food and beverage credit based on the type/category of hotel at which you’re staying. Hopefully, the free breakfast perk will return, but I’m not holding my breath.

Priority Pass Select – 10 complimentary airport lounge visits each year.

Annual Fee: $95

HILTON HONORS AMERICAN EXPRESS ASPIRE CARD (NOT AN INCREASED BONUS)

  • 14 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent at Hilton hotels and resorts
  • 7 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent at U.S. restaurants and on select travel
  • 3 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent on all other purchases

Complimentary Hilton Honors Diamond Status.

One weekend night reward with the new Aspire card and every year after renewal.

Each year get up to $250 in statement credits for eligible purchases made directly with participating Hilton Resorts.

Annual $250 Airline Fee Credit for incidental airline charges from your pre-selected airline.

Book a 2 night minimum stay at hiltonhonorsaspirecard.com and get up to $100 in credits for qualifying charges at participating Waldorf Astoria® Hotels & Resorts and Conrad® Hotels & Resorts.

Complimentary Priority Pass Select airline lounge membership.

Annual Fee: $450

All of these cards provide access to Amex Offers that can make an annual fee card more than worth the yearly charge and a no annual fee a really nice money-maker.

Keep in mind American Express’ once-in-a-lifetime bonus rule, though.  If you’ve received a sign-up bonus for any of these cards in the past, you won’t receive the bonus again.  Although, roughly 7 years does seem to be the cut off point at which you may be able to get a sign-up bonus again.

HILTON HONORS BUSINESS CARD

If you have a business, or a “business,” you may want to look at the Hilton Honors Business Card as well.

It’s currently offering 165,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after spending $5,000 in the first three months from card approval.

You can view its ongoing points earning structure – which is slightly different than the personal cards – and its benefits at the referral link below.

Annual Fee: $95

You don’t have to have a large business to get approved for business credit cards. Although, as we start seeing a slowing in the economy, American Express may be more strict with its approvals going forward.
