T-Mobile Connect Prepaid Plans - $15 for 2GB or $25 for 5GB
T-Mobile has two decently priced prepaid plans for those who have good T-Mobile service where they live/work and don't need the bells and whistles of T-Mobile's postpaid plans.
Depending on the plan you choose, you can get:
- Unlimited talk and text and 2 GB of data for $15
- Unlimited talk and text and 5 GB of data for $25
Taxes and fees are extra, typically amounting to an additional $1-$2 per month.
These are basic wireless plans to be sure. Which is why the pricing is so low. Once you hit the data limit for the plan you select, you will not have access to data. You can purchase additional GB, of course, but you might then want to consider other plans.
And, the unlimited talk and text appears to be for domestic use only, no cross border usage.
If your wireless usage meets these criteria, then these plans might be a way to save on your monthly wireless charges.
If you don't have T-Mobile service and phone, you can bring your own device as long as it's compatible with T-Mobile's GSM network (Verizon phones are typically CDMA and won't be compatible with T-Mobile's network).
And, if you're a T-Mobile postpaid customer wanting to move to these prepaid plans, be sure you use the prepaid site to access your new account. There are reports of problems with the prepaid site...although it may be customer who've transferred to prepaid trying to access via the postpaid site they used to use.
