Depending on the time of year, typically there’s some sort of Sam’s Club membership deal that’s available to partially, or fully, offset the $45 membership fee.

The Sam’s Club membership deal below actually has an end date of January 31, 2023. Whether that’s accurate, and if it is, the deal will remain available that whole time, is another question.

A few term details –

With regard to the auto-renewal, that is easy to turn off once you have your online membership account set up.

And, “new members” are considered those who have not had a membership in the previous 6 months. You can always have a spouse, significant other, etc. sign-up for this deal and add you to their membership to avoid the 6-month restriction.

Depending on when you read this, check your credit card offers section to see if any Sam’s Club membership statement credit offers are available. In the past, both Chase Offers and Amex Offers have had savings opportunities for Sam’s Club memberships.

As of mid-April 2022, I’m not aware of any new credit card offers, though.

Additionally, Dosh, the app based cash back platform has partnered with Sam’s Club to offer cash back on online Sam’s Club purchases. I’m not aware of current Dosh promos for Sam’s Club, but that can change by locality and date. You can read about Dosh at this link if you’re interested.
