The NFL season is just about to begin, and DirecTV is offering its NFL Sunday Ticket Max Free Preview - a regular offering each first Sunday of the season - this Sunday, September 13, 2020.
Just tune in to DirecTV channels 701 - 716 to catch the various NFL matchups...free of charge.
Free Season of Sunday Ticket
And for those who were DirecTV subscribers last year, you may have a full season of NFL Sunday Ticket free of charge.
It was last December when we noted that DirecTV was offering Sunday Ticket for the remainder of the 2019 season (a few games at that point) and for all of the 2020 NFL season.
Now we get to see if that is true, or not.
To me, offering the full 2020 NFL season of Sunday Ticket free of charge was a surprise. But, considering the significant loss of subscribers DirecTV has been experiencing the past few years, maybe it's an effort to keep customers from leaving.
Now DTV has to worry about the NFL canceling some or all of its games should Covid-19 become an issue now through the end of December. When that's factored in, I definitely wouldn't be wanting to actually pay for Sunday Ticket without an assurance of refunds for missed games. And that's something I'm sure DirecTV is not wanting to do.
