Google Chromecast with Google TV and 6 Months of Netflix for $89.99
Google is offering a deal that provides a Google Chromecast with Google TV streaming media player and 6 months of Netflix (standard streaming 2-screen bundle) for $89.99. Shipping is free.
I'm not exactly positive what Google TV is, but I believe it's just the platform from which you can access the various streaming apps - free or paid - that you have added as well as an area from which you can launch other media-related apps (like photos stored on Google, etc.). If anyone has a better explanation for Google TV, please let us know in the comments.
Google TV aside, basically you're getting a streaming media player that can connect to a television that doesn't already have a streaming interface...or at least one you like...and 6 months of Netflix (2-screens).
The Netflix subscription alone would cost $77.94.
The Netflix code provided with this deal covers the $77.94, and could be used as a credit if you wanted to subscribe to a more expensive (4K) plan.
Considering the Netflix cost, the Google Chromecast would effectively price at $12.05. This Chromecast regularly prices at $49.99 at the Google Store.
So, a nice savings when you factor in the bundle price.
That is, if, you want both a Google Chromecast with Google TV and 6 months of Netflix.
