Citi ThankYou Points Earning Credit Card Holders Save $15 Off $50+
Quote from Savings Beagle on January 19, 2020, 7:31 pmCiti ThankYou Points earning credit card holders may be able to save $15 off $50 or more of eligible Amazon purchases.
The basics of this deal are the same as the American Express and Discover savings deals we posted last week.
Your Citi ThankYou Points earning credit card must be added as a payment method to your Amazon Wallet and enrolled in Amazon's Shop with Points.
Once these steps are accomplished, you can see if your Amazon account has been targeted for the Citi ThankYou Points savings deal by clicking the link below.
Citi ThankYou Points / Amazon Promotion Activation Page
If you haven't been targeted, you'll see the message: “Thank you for your interest in this offer. Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this invitation-only offer” or something similar.
If you are targeted, you should see an activation button.
Activate your promotion.
Add $50 or more of eligible products to your Amazon cart (see below for a definition of eligible products).
Go to the checkout page and make sure your Citi ThankYou card is selected as your payment method.
Choose the amount of Citi ThankYou Points you want to use (typically, $0.01, or 1 point, is the best way to play these deals. Although, you can use as much as you want to offset the actual purchase price.).
Once your Citi ThankYou card is selected as the payment method and you've selected at least 1 ThankYou point, your discount will be applied to your purchase(s).
Eligible Products - To get the savings, you must purchase items sold and shipped by Amazon.com. You need to look for those exact (or similar) words on the product page. Many mainstream-type products will have an option that is sold and shipped by Amazon, so it's not too hard to find purchase options on which you can save. Most gift cards (Netflix, Starbucks, etc.) will trigger these savings deals if you're at a loss for a purchase.
Not everyone is targeted for these credit card savings deals, even if you have the deal's card in your Amazon Wallet and have Shop with Points set up.
Sometimes these deals are rolled out over time. If you don't have it now, check back in a few days or weeks to see if your availability's changed.
Also, some have success getting the deal to appear after deleting a card from their Amazon Wallet and then re-adding it. Wait a day or so if you give this a try for the deal to become available.
It's not yet clear if this promotion is a new Citi ThankYou promotion on Amazon, or a continuation of last year's deal. We'll add specifics related to the end of this promotion should we get them.
Otherwise, check to see if you're eligible, and if you are, use it quickly in case the promo's end date is sooner rather than later.
Did you have any luck getting the Citi ThankYou promo to show on your Amazon account?
