DirecTV Offering Showtime and The Movie Channel Free May 1-6, 2020

DirecTV is offering a free Showtime and The Movie Channel preview now through May 6, 2020.

This is a continuation of DirecTV’s efforts to keep all of us currently in coronavirus lockdown mode entertained…I guess.

See our updated post at this link for all the current free channel additions DirecTV is offering as a result of coronavirus.

All you need to do to take advantage of this free extended period of premium channels is tune to channels 545-555 (may be different for some subscribers) and enjoy.

DVR for Later Viewing

If you have a DVR, you can record as many free preview programs as you like to watch at a later date.  Just because the free preview ends, doesn’t mean your recorded movies/shows go away.  Once recorded, you have them saved until you delete them.

Enjoy all Showtime and The Movie Channel have to offer during this 7-day period, absolutely free thanks to DirecTV’s free preview.

While this post is specific to DirecTV there are many other pay-TV providers who may be giving subscribers a free preview of these premium channels, too.

So if you know someone who isn’t a DirecTV subscriber, let them know they may be getting a free preview, as well.

And don’t forget to DVR free preview programs you want to see, but just don’t have the time to sit and watch, for your future viewing pleasure.

Although, considering the social distancing many of us are involved in, not having the time to watch may not be an issue.
