It seems this is the new savings mechanism/purchase enticement many brands are using these days. Buy a specific amount of select products and get a certain amount of gift card back when proof of purchase is submitted.

We’ve recently seen it with Procter and Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and now Del Monte.

It definitely takes effort to upload the receipt(s) showing the qualifying purchases and amounts.

Which is what the companies want. Entice you to make the purchases with money back and then make the process just difficult enough that you don’t follow through.

So, be honest with yourself, and only bother with these types of promotions if you’re sure you’ll make the effort to submit the necessary documents.

Del Monte Growing Great Promo

Unlike the Procter and Gamble and J&J promotions, the Del Monte promo offers you the choice of receiving a $5 gift card (various gift cards from which to choose) or donating the $5 to the GrowingGreat Organization.

To be eligible for the $5 gift card/donation, you’ll need to:

Buy $15 worth of participating Del Monte products – From the promo site – “Qualifying purchases include Del Monte Foods, Contadina & College Inn shelf stable, frozen & refrigerated products and excludes products from Fresh Del Monte Produce, Inc.”
Upload your receipt at DelMonteChooseGood.com – You’ll likely need to take a photo of the receipt with your smart device to upload unless you have access to an online receipt that can be uploaded.

All valid receipts must be uploaded by 11:59 PM ET on 3/31/22.

If you choose to receive the $5 gift card, you’ll receive an emailed Reward Link, from which you can redeem for your preferred gift card…an example list can be viewed here.

For whatever reason, the promotion is not valid for any purchases made in Wisconsin.

The $15 worth of qualifying products must be purchased in one transaction.

And the end date for the purchase is February 28, 2022. The end date for receipt submission is March 31, 2022.
