Citi Merchant Offers for Target and Sam’s Club
|Check your Citi credit card account(s) for Citi Merchant Offers that might save you on Target and Sam’s Club purchases.
As with any credit card Offer, these may, or may not be on your Citi credit card accounts.
And, it’s recently come to my attention that for some unknown reason, certain Citi credit card accounts aren’t showing Citi Merchant Offers at all. There doesn’t seem to be a specific reason for why, unfortunately.
So, if you follow the directions we’ve outlined in our Citi Merchant Offers post (linked above) to locate the somewhat difficult to find Offers page and still don’t see them…well, I guess you’re one of the unlucky ones Citi has decided not to provide Offers to.
But, if you do have Citi Merchant Offers available, these Target and Sam’s Club Offers could save you some money.
Target Citi Merchant Offer
Spend $50 or more at Target and receive a $10 statement credit. Can be used up to three times before the Offer’s expiration date of December 31, 2021 on both in-store and online purchases.
This Target Offer should be able to be used to purchase discounted Target GiftCards during the upcoming sale December 4-5, 2021.
And, after using the Offer to reduce your GiftCard purchase price, you’ll still have two more $10 savings to use prior to December 31.
Sam’s Club Citi Merchant Offer
The Sam’s Club Citi Merchant Offer provides 5% back as a statement credit when the card is used for an in-store or online purchase.
The Offer expires December 22, 2021.
And, it does come with a few restrictions –
“Valid for US only. Terms cannot include exclusion of health and beauty aides, wine, cold cough and flu, liquor, gas stations, cigarettes, cigars, beer, doctor fees, orders made on Walmart.com, gift card purchases. You may not purchase products or services sold or promoted on SamsClub.com through a Qualifying Link for resale or commercial use of any kind. Cash back is not included on orders placed using coupons, promo codes, or discounts, or if an order is cancelled, returned, or exchanged.”
While somewhat awkwardly worded, I think the list of items is exclusionary. And, not sure how it would be enforced, but note the “coupons, promo codes, or discounts” language.
Offers
Just in case you’re not familiar with how credit card Offers work, be sure the Offer is added/saved to your credit card prior to making a purchase that would trigger the Offer.
And, watch expiration dates…sometimes if a transaction doesn’t post to your account prior to the expiration date (even though your purchase was prior to the expiration date) the Offer may not be triggered. That’s not always the case, but it’s something to keep in mind.
If you’re new to Citi Merchant Offers let us know if they’re showing on your Citi credit card account(s). And if you have the Target or Sam’s Club Offer on your account.
