Check the Status of Your $1,200 Relief Payment from the IRS

If you haven’t received your $1,200 Covid-19 relief payment yet, you can now check its status on the newly created IRS “Get My Payment” page.

Once you click the “Get My Payment” button, expect a delay due to high demand.

Just stick with it and you should be taken to the next page soon.

Once you acknowledge the “no right to privacy” statement, you’re taken to the page where you fill in your Social Security number, date of birth, street address and zip code.

The following screen should then provide your payment’s status.

For me, the page timed out without providing status information. Likely due to an overloaded system.

No matter, I saw that my payment had been direct deposited to my bank account earlier today.

You can use the link below to check your payment’s status, or just hold tight, direct deposits should be arriving this week with mailed checks in the coming weeks.

The next question becomes, will the federal government be providing more relief monies to Americans in the coming months?
