Chase Sapphire Preferred Final First Friday Dining Bonus

Those of you who are participants in the Miles and Points hobby – and holders of the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card – are likely familiar with the 3x points offered on all dining purchases the first Friday of every month.  And you are also likely familiar with the fact that Chase has decided to do away with this benefit beginning in 2016.

Which means, today is the final First Friday to receive 3 Chase Ultimate Rewards points per dollar spent on dining purchases with the Sapphire Preferred card.

If you don’t have plans to dine out today, or even if you do, you can still stock up on restaurant gift cards (purchased in restaurants), earning the 3x points, which you can use for future dines.  And with Christmas just around the corner, today might be the day to purchase restaurant gift cards to give to family and friends (earning yourself some extra points in the process).

Today is an end of an era in the Miles and Points game, so pull out your Sapphire Preferred card at your favorite restaurant to commemorate.
