Chase is targeting select IHG, Hyatt, Freedom Unlimited and Southwest card holders with bonus promotions.

These bonuses are only being offered via email to the credit card holder, so check your email, and possibly your spam folder, to see if you’ve received one of these offers.

You’ll need to register via the link on the email to participate.

Depending on the card, we’re either seeing:

Spend $4,000 between January 15 and March 31, 2020, and receive 2,000 bonus points.

Earn 5% cash back / 5x Ultimate Rewards points on purchases made on utilities, insurance, phone service and cable and Internet services on up to $2,000 in spend. These bonus spend offers also run January 15 through March 31, 2020.

The $4,000 for 2,000 points offer is not the best, and not something I’d likely pursue unless the $4,000 was easily achievable via a planed large purchase or other spending methods. Even then, it would probably be better to put that $4,000 toward another sign-up bonus which would most definitely result in greater miles/points earning.

The 5%/5x promo, on the other hand, is more interesting, especially for those who don’t have a Chase Ink Cash business card. Even then, the insurance category isn’t one we regularly see, and for some, could be a nice earner. The same goes for the utility category.
