AT&T to Offer $15 per Month Prepaid Wireless Plan – Limited Time?
|AT&T has announced it will offer a $15 per month prepaid wireless plan to “help ease financial stress during these difficult times.”
My guess is this is in response to T-Mobile’s recent announcement of its own $15 per month prepaid plan.
The difference is that T-Mobile’s new plan appears to be a regular offering, while it’s still unclear if this AT&T $15 plan is limited in how long you can sign up for it, or in how long the $15 price point will remain.
AT&T $15 Prepaid Plan
Keep in mind that the $15 per month price may only be applicable while issues surrounding coronavirus remain, after which the price may increase.
As of now, however, the details of the $15 per month prepaid plan are:
- A limited time offer of $15 for 2GB of data with unlimited talk and text will be available to new and existing customers with no activation fee. To get started on the $15 limited time offer, just visit www.att.com/prepaid or use the MyATT app.
- An automatic 10GB per month of additional data for 60 days is being added temporarily to existing customers’ capped phone plans and for new customers who activate capped phone plans prior to April 26. New customers activating capped phone plans after April 26 will temporarily receive an extra 10 GB of additional data for 30 days.
This new prepaid plan should be available today, March 27, 2020.
You can check the AT&T prepaid site for information and to sign up.

Wrap Up
It would be nice if AT&T was truly matching T-Mobile’s low-priced prepaid plan offering, but I have a feeling the $15 per month plan will only be offered for a limited time, after which the price will increase to an unknown amount.
If you have details on how long this price will last, let us know in the comments.
