Apple Services (TV+, Music, News+, iCloud, Etc.) Free Trials via Best Buy and Target
|A few months ago we published Target’s Apple services free trials (details below) but we wanted to update with links to Best Buy’s Apple services free trials, as well.
Best Buy Apple Services Free Trial Offers
Best Buy is offering the following free trials of Apple subscription services.
- 6-Months Apple News+ Trial Subscription Free
- 6-Months Apple Music Trial Subscription Free
- 3-Months Apple TV+ Trial Subscription Free
- 3-Months Apple Fitness+ Trial Subscription Free
All of these free trials come with language stating they’re for “new subscribers only,” but in practice, as long as you aren’t currently in a free trial or a paid subscription for a specific service, you can take advantage of the deal.
Some reports state canceling (a current free trial or paid subscription) for a few weeks or a month or so will allow you to get a free trial deal that’s currently available. Other reports indicate the time period after canceling to get a free trial can be as short as one day.
Bottom line, you very likely don’t have to be a completely new subscriber to get these free trial deals.
You can find the main page for Best Buy’s Apple Free Trials at the link below.

Below are some general operating procedures – originally written for the Target offers, but applicable for the Best Buy offers, too – regarding the redemption process.
Target Circle Apple Services Free Trial Offers
Target Circle members (free to join) can take advantage of free trials on four Apple subscription products.
The Apple offerings include:
- 6-Months Apple Arcade Trial Subscription Service Free – Provides unlimited access to 200+ incredibly fun, ad-free games
- 4-Months Apple TV+ Trial Subscription Free – Watch Apple original shows and movies on the Apple TV app
- 4-Months iCloud+ Storage Trial Subscription Free – Get 50GB so all your stuff is safe and available wherever you are
- 4-Months Apple Music Trial Subscription Free – Stream over 90 million songs ad-free, across all your devices
You can find all of these Apple free trial offers on the Target Circle Partners page (link below).

You’ll need to “redeem” the Apple free trial offer(s) by clicking the “Redeem Now” button on an individual offer.
A redemption code will be sent to your email once an offer is claimed. The code can then be used to activate your free trial.
You do need to have an active Apple ID to activate your offer(s).
And, the Target Circle offers expire on 6/17/2022. So if you wanted, you could wait until June to redeem and have the offers for the next 4 or 6 months.
This may be a key point to keep in mind…Apple IDs already associated with a free trial or subscription for these services are ineligible for this offer.
If you’re currently a subscriber or on a previous free trial offer, you may be able to cancel and then activate the Target Circle / Apple free trial. It’s not guaranteed to work, but worth a try if you’re currently paying for a service, or are close to the end of a free trial.
Be sure to check the Restrictions link for each offer that you’re interested in…primarily, all will automatically charge a monthly fee once the free trial ends unless you cancel. Current pricing for each will be listed in the Terms section of each option.
Most, if not all, are easy to cancel if you don’t want to continue with the particular service.
Of course, iCloud+ would be the most difficult to cancel if you’ve added a large number of items to it. So keep that in mind.
All the others would be fairly easy to leave if you don’t want to pay for the service.
Wrap Up
Both Best Buy and Target, through its Target Circle program, are offering free trials of select Apple services – Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud+ and more – making this a great opportunity to check out one, or all, of the options without paying.
This deal was offered last year (2021) to Target Circle members, and now it’s back.
The Best Buy deals have been available since late last year, with no end date listed.
Maybe a mix and match plan for the services you want to try is a good way to go as long as the free trials remain available.
