American: San Francisco – Inverness, Scotland $464 Roundtrip

American Airlines is currently offering a nicely priced roundtrip airfare to Inverness, Scotland from San Francisco.

The roundtrip fare is showing as $464, all in.  You can find this fare on 6-7 night itineraries beginning the last week in September (2018) and running through October with a smattering of availability in November.

There are some roundtrip prices lower than $464, but be aware they are likely basic economy fares that have restrictions certain travelers may not find palatable.  Restrictions such as no advance seat assignment, no changes to the ticketed itinerary, and, if you need to cancel your trip, the amount paid will not be available for future travel – it will be lost, in full.

You can find some sub-$500 fares beginning again in mid-February, but not priced as low as the $464 deal.

The priced example does require early departures and two stops on your way to and from Scotland.  But, at this price point, if Scotland is a destination of interest, these might be things you just deal with.

Play around a bit on Google Flights and you might be able to find better itineraries for a comparable price during the currently offered deal time periods.

As with any deal, time is of the essence.  And especially with airfare deals, they can be gone in an instant.  So if you’re interested, book quickly.
