American Express Incentivizing the Use of Its Hilton, Marriott and Delta Credit Cards
|Savings Beagle is all about maximizing credit cards to your benefit, not the bank’s.
Which is why it’s nice to see American Express incentivizing the use of some of its travel rewards credit cards during a time when travel is not first and foremost on the minds of many.
And the incentives that are being offered on the Hilton, Marriott and Delta credit cards likely can put cash right back in your pocket, just where it belongs.
American Express Dining Credits
Yesterday we wrote about the dining credits that are available on Amex’s Hilton family of personal credit cards.
The Hilton cards aren’t the only Amex cards receiving this dining credit for the remainder of 2021.
Below is the full list of cards on which you can save when dining out.
$20 Monthly Dining Credit
- Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant American Express Card
- Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card
$15 Monthly Dining Credit
- Delta SkyMiles Platinum American Express Card
$10 Monthly Dining Credit
- Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card
- Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card
- Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card
$5 Monthly Dining Credit
- Hilton Honors American Express Card
You will need to “add” these dining credits to your card, similarly to any Amex Offer.
The dining credits will be triggered when an equal or greater amount to the credit is spent at U.S. restaurants whether it be in-restaurant, takeout or delivery.
And the dining credits are good, monthly, beginning now (February 2021) and running through December 31, 2021.
American Express Wireless Credits
Amex has added a wireless credit to its Hilton, Marriott and Delta co-branded small business cards in the amounts below.
$20 Monthly Wireless Credit
- Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card
$15 Monthly Wireless Credit
- Delta SkyMiles Platinum Business American Express Card
- Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card
$10 Monthly Wireless Credit
- Delta SkyMiles Gold Business American Express Card
- Hilton Honors American Express Business Card
Simply use one of the business cards listed above to pay your wireless bill and you’ll automatically receive the appropriate credit, monthly, through December 31, 2021.
It is important to note, though, if your wireless bill is part of a bundled charge (internet and/or television) it likely won’t trigger the credit.
Wrap Up
American Express is incentivizing the use of some of its travel rewards credit card with dining and wireless credits.
Add these Offers to your Marriott, Hilton and/or Delta cards and you’ll be able to save on your monthly dining and/or wireless charges.
Depending on the cards you have available, you may be able to save a significant amount of money for the rest of 2021 by taking advantage of these newly added Amex benefits.
