American Express Business Card Holders May Have a Verizon Wireless $75 Amex Offer Waiting
|Update June 2022 – The Verizon Wireless Amex Offer is back on select American Express accounts. This time offering a $75 statement credit when $150 or more is spent. The post below can provide a basic overview, although until redemptions are attempted with this new Offer, we won’t know if previous options (redeeming on personal Verizon accounts, purchasing products via Verizon, etc.) still work.
If you have an American Express business card as part of your credit card arsenal, check your account to see if this Verizon Wireless Amex Offer is waiting to be used.
If it is available on your account, you can get a $75 statement credit when you spend $75 or more on a Verizon Wireless purchase.
The link that’s part of the Amex Offer takes you to the business section of the Verizon Wireless website. And the wording of the Offer is such that it makes it appear the Offer is only good on small business wireless transactions.
But, as is often the case with any Offer, what’s in the terms is not always the case.
In fact, there are a number of reports of Verizon gift card purchases triggering the $75 Offer…at least as far as receiving the “redeemed email.”
And one report thus far of using the Offer to pay toward a Verizon Wireless personal line, where not only was the “redeemed email” received, but the $75 statement credit posted to the account.
Confirmed: I used the Verizon Wireless Amex Offer to make a payment to my personal Verizon Wireless account and the $75 statement credit has posted.
Others have used the Offer to purchase products from Verizon, such as Bluetooth speakers, headsets, charging cords, etc., some of which have also already received the statement credit.
So, if you have this $75 Verizon Wireless Amex Offer available to you, know that you don’t just have to use it on a small business wireless transaction.
One caveat on purchasing Verizon gift cards, though. Verizon can sometimes be hit or miss with sending correctly loaded gift cards. If you go the gift card route, be sure to check its balance once received (they only send actual gift cards, not eGift Cards) to ensure it’s been properly loaded. If it hasn’t, get ready for a customer service “process” to get what you actually ordered.
This Offer is valid through February 14, 2022. But, its enrollment is limited, so add it now in case American Express reaches the Offer’s limit and pulls it from accounts that haven’t yet activated it.
