American Airlines’ AAdvantage Shopping Portal is Offering Bonus Miles Through May 14, 2021
Last week the United Airlines and Alaska Airlines shopping portals were offering bonus miles when specific spend thresholds were met.
Now American’s shopping portal is out with its bonus miles promotion.

This promo is a quick one, only running through this Friday, May 14, 2021.

Bonus earnings are:
- 500 miles when you spend $50
- 1,000 miles when you spend $300
As with all of these airline shopping portal promotions, the tier level spend requirements are based on cumulative purchases made during the bonus period. Multiple purchases between May 9 and May 14 will all count toward meeting a tier level spend amount.
Keep the qualifying purchases definition in mind – shipping, handling and taxes do not count towards spend amounts – as you shop toward a tier level.

If you’ve got some online shopping to do and American is the carrier whose miles you prefer, take this opportunity to add a bit to your balance.
The lower level amount is pretty easy to hit, but if you’ve got some big online purchases to make, adding 1,000 miles, in addition to the miles you’ll earn from the retailer, will be a decent haul.
