[Ended]Amazon/American Express Card Promo: Spend $50 and Save $20 on a Future Amazon Purchase

Amazon and American Express are out with a somewhat different promotion than past credit card deals.
This Amazon/American Express card promo provides a $20 Amazon credit when you make a single purchase of $50 or more using your American Express credit card to pay.
This is different from previous card deals in that you don’t have to use reward points to get the discount/credit. All you have to do is use an American Express card to pay.
Once you’ve met this promo’s requirements, and your purchase has shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to the $20 credit that can be used on a future Amazon purchase.
Another new aspect to this promo is that you then have to use the $20 credit at a specific section of Amazon…the Moments Store.
Don’t ask me what the Moments Store is, I have no idea.
But, a quick scan of its offerings shows it has a number of regular items most shoppers would buy.

What’s nice about the Moments Store is that all products at this “store” will qualify for the $20 credit deal.
So no hunting to make sure items are “shipped and sold by Amazon,” to ensure they qualify.
The Deal’s Specifics
To qualify for the $20 credit:
- Add products that are shipped and sold by Amazon to your Shopping Cart and check out by July 22, 2020; only items that are sold and shipped by Amazon.com or Amazon Digital Services LLC qualify for this promotion (look for “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC” on the product detail page). Purchases of Amazon e-gift cards do not qualify for this promotion.
- Spend $50 or more on a single purchase using any eligible American Express Consumer Card.
- If you remove any of the participating promotional items from your Shopping Cart or violate any of the terms and conditions listed below, your order will no longer qualify for the promotion.
- If you return any of the items involved in the promotion, Amazon reserves the right to remove the promotional credit.

Wrap Up
Bottom line for this deal is, purchase $50 or more of products shipped and sold by Amazon by June 22, 2020, using an American Express consumer credit card to pay and earn a $20 Amazon credit to be used on a future Amazon Moments Store purchase.
The $20 promo credit must be used by August 22, 2020.
So, while a little easier to take advantage of than past Amazon/credit card promos, it may not be as lucrative considering the credit usage limitation.
But, maybe the Moments Store isn’t as restrictive as I initially think.
And, it’s nice because it has all qualifying items on which the $20 credit can be used in one place.
