Target RedCard $40 Off $40 Sign-Up Bonus November/December 2022 – Have You Churned This Deal?

Target’s back, once again, with a lucrative RedCard sign-up bonus.

We continue to post these not only for those who’ve never had a RedCard, but also for those who have and may want to churn the debit card for multiple savings opportunities. Have you tried churning this deal yet?

Target RedCard Sign-Up Bonus

Target RedCard applicants can receive a $40 savings off a $40 or more future Target purchase as a sign-up bonus.

And, even if you’ve received a Target RedCard sign-up deal in the past, you may be able to get another. See our thoughts at the end of the post.

Plus, the $40 savings coupon should be able to be used twice – once for an in-store purchase and again for an online purchase – for a total savings of $80. See our “data points” thoughts below.

Target RedCard

The Target RedCard (credit and debit versions) offers holders unique benefits that regular Target shoppers should consider if saving money is of interest.

Target RedCard holders receive:

  • 5% off your in-store or online Target purchases
  • Free shipping on many items on Target.com
  • Access to exclusive promotions, gifts and special items
  • An additional 30-days for returns and exchanges

You can read all the details associated with the Target RedCard, as well as apply at this Target RedCard link.

Target RedCard Sign-Up Promo

A few times – or maybe more than a few times – throughout the year, Target will offer sign-up promotions for its RedCard.

This is the seventh $40 off $40 sign-up deal for 2022.

Approved applicants for either the Target RedCard credit card or debit card will receive a coupon good for $40 off a future qualifying purchase over $40.

Applications can be in-store or online at Target.com.

This promotion runs October 30 through December 10, 2022.

The coupon will be mailed to approved cardholders with their RedCard and will be valid through 1/9/2023.

Interesting data point – There are reports that you can use the $40 off coupon against an in-store purchase of $40+ and then again against an online purchase of $40 or more. So you’ll be grabbing a total of $80 in savings. This has been the case for a while now, so I doubt it’s a glitch in Target’s system. Although, it may not continue, so be aware the “double dip” may end at any time.

There are a number of items that are excluded from the $40 coupon…you can see the full list under the RedCard Benefits & Program Rules “$40 off for new RedCard holders” info bullet found on the page links above and below or read the text below.

Excludes alcohol, Apple products, Barbie camper and houses, Beats Fit Pro, Beats Flex, Beats Powerbeats Pro, Beats Studio Buds, Bose, Bratz Collector and Designer Dolls, Bullseye’s Playground, Cards Against Humanity, Casper, clinic & pharmacy, Cricut, dairy milk, DockATot, Dockers, Do-a-Dot, DSLR cameras & lenses, Dyson, Elf on the Shelf, face masks (Dolan, Sanctuary & Sugar Fix brands), Fisher Price Laugh n Learn, Fitbit, Funko Standard Pop, gift cards, GilletteLabs Heated Razor Starter Kit by Gillette – 3ct, Google, Hair Appliances, HALO Baby, Hasbro Games (Classic Monopoly, Connect Four, Jenga, Sorry, Trouble), Healthy Roots Dolls, Hot Wheels Ultimate Garage, Honest Baby, HP Inc., Infant Optics, Instant Pot, JBL, LEGO, Levi’s Red Label, LG OLED and QNED TVs, limited-time designer partnerships, Luvable Friends, Mega Bloks, Meta Oculus and Portal, mobile contracts, Motrin, Ninja, Nintendo hardware and Switch games, Polder, Peg Perego, Philips Avent, Plan B, power shave, power dental, prepaid cards, Play-Doh Ice Cream Truck Playset, PlayStation consoles and accessories, Revival, Samsung TVs, Shark, simplehuman, Sonos, Sony Electronics, Take Action, Target Optical, Tempur-Sealy, Trading Cards, Tylenol pain relief, Tylenol PM, Ulta Beauty at Target Brands, Unlocked phones, Vera Bradley handbags, Weber, and What Do You Meme? game.

Multiple RedCard Sign-Up Bonuses

This tactic won’t be for everyone, but it does appear possible to take advantage of these RedCard sign-up bonus promos multiple times.

First, this should only be done with the RedCard debit card. Not the RedCard credit card.

Of course, the first step is closing your previously opened RedCard debit card.

There have been questions on how long you have to wait between closing a RedCard and Signing up for a new bonus. Reports now seem to indicate you’ll need to wait 90 days from the date you last opened your Target RedCard debit card. After the 90-day period is up, you should be able to get another Target RedCard sign-up bonus.

There are reports of individuals receiving multiple – up to 8 or 9 – RedCard sign-up bonuses using this tactic.

If you currently have a RedCard open, you should be able to close it, wait a few days or a week, and re-apply for this November/December 2022 RedCard sign-up bonus…as long as it’s been 90 days since you last opened the RedCard, that is.

Has this multiple Target RedCard sign-up bonus tactic worked for you?
