Hyatt Offering Summer Award Redemptions Rebate for Hyatt Credit Card Holders at Its Independent Collection of Hotels

The Hyatt loyalty program, inarguably, provides the best value when redeeming loyalty points. And in previous years, Hyatt credit card holders were provided an added incentive of a points rebate when redeeming points for hotel stays during the summer travel season.

Hyatt has brought back the summer promotion for 2022, but the points rebate for award redemptions has been limited in its scope, making it somewhat less valuable than in past years.

You can earn 20% back on your qualifying redemptions, but the hotel awards must be booked at Hyatt’s Independent Collection.

The Independent Collection includes (click links to see hotels and locations):

The World of Hyatt Credit Card

Don’t have the World of Hyatt Credit Card yet? You should be able to apply now, earn Hyatt points as a result of the card sign-up (if you don’t have World of Hyatt points already), register for the promotion as a result of being a cardmember by July 15 and enjoy the 20% rebate on your award stays at Independent Collection hotels this summer.

The current World of Hyatt Credit Card sign-up bonus is 30,000 points after $3,000 is spent in the first 3 months, and up to 30,000 additional points by earning 2 bonus points total per $1 spent in the first 6 months from account opening.

You can read more about the card and its benefits in our post “Review: The World of Hyatt Credit Card,” or on the Chase World of Hyatt Credit Card application page*.

Of course, you can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points at a 1:1 rate to Hyatt if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card, the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card or the Chase Ink Preferred (Business) credit card should the 10% World of Hyatt cardmember rebate not be of interest.
