Select Chase Co-Branded Cardholders (United, Marriott, Hyatt, Disney, etc.) Can Earn Increased Points/Miles Through June – Are You Targeted?

Chase is offering increased earnings on some of their co-branded credit cards on up to $1,500 of spend beginning April 1, 2021 and running through the end of June.

Whether the spend is targeted to specific categories (grocery stores, restaurants, etc.) or is for all spend during that period depends on the card you hold and your specific offer.

You can check the link below to see if your Chase card has been targeted for this increased earnings promo, as well as activate the promo on your card. You’ll need the last four digits of the card you want to check (as well as the last name on the card and zip code).

Here are a few examples of increased earnings opportunities.

  • 5x/5% points/miles/cash back per dollar on all spend
  • 5x/5% points/miles/cash back per dollar on purchases made at grocery stores and restaurants
  • 5x/5% points/miles/cash back per dollar on purchases made at grocery stores, gas stations and drug stores

Some cards are also seeing spend requirements to get a specific amount of points or miles, such as spend $3,000 during the promo period and get 5,000 bonus points.

Any Chase co-branded card may be eligible, so if you have a card such as the United, Hyatt, Marriott, Southwest, IHG, British Airways/Iberia/Aer Lingus, Disney, AARP or Starbucks, be sure to check the link above to see what offer you may have available.

This is a great way to add some bonus points, miles or cash back to your balances.

Again, no matter the offer you have available, it will be good for spend beginning April 1, 2021 through June 30, 2021.

And the bonus offer must be activated by 6/30/21…so even purchases made prior to activation will earn the bonus points. You just have to activate the promotion at some point…I’d do it right now if you’ve been targeted.

And the bonuses are good on up to $1,500 in purchases during the promotional period. So, 7,500 points or miles or $75 cash back if you max out the promo.

Chase says that it may take up to 8 weeks from qualifying purchases for the bonus points/miles to post to your account. Typically with these promotions, they post much sooner. But, keep this qualifier in mind if you’re counting on these bonus points for an early summer trip.

Wrap Up

Chase is offering select co-branded credit card holders increased earning opportunities beginning April 1, 2021, and running through June 30, 2021.

If you’re targeted, this is a great way to increase your points or miles balances for spend you likely would make anyway.

Just be sure to activate the promotion on your card so that you’ll earn the bonuses during the promo period. You can check availability on your card(s) and activate at this Chase link.
