American Express Wants You to Dine Out

American Express obviously wants you to dine out a bit more with these recently added Amex Offers.

Amex and a number of restaurants are offering an additional 5 American Express Membership Rewards points per dollar spent when you use your enrolled Amex card to pay.

While my accounts only show the restaurants above, you may have different options based on your location.

It seems these deals are only available on Membership Rewards earning cards such as:

  • Amex EveryDay
  • Amex EveryDay Preferred
  • American Express Gold
  • American Express Platinum (all varieties)
  • American Express Green

I haven’t seen bonus points for any co-branded cards such as Delta or Hilton.

What’s especially nice is that this Amex Offer will likely stack with the dining bonus category on the Amex Gold card, providing a significant 9 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent at the included restaurants.

Remember, as with any Amex Offer deal, you must first add the Offer to your card before making the purchase to earn the bonus points.

So log in to your American Express account and see if any of these increased points earning Amex Offers are available to you.

Shop Small Offer

And while you in your Amex account, make sure to add the currently available Shop Small Amex Offer if you haven’t already.

It provides a $5 statement credit for every $10+ purchase at select small businesses in your area.

I’ve saved well over $50 between my and my wife’s accounts the past few weeks just taking advantage of this small business Offer. And, each purchase helps small businesses during this challenging economic time.
