Six Caesars Entertainment package deals (five in Vegas and one in Atlantic City) are up for purchase. Most include accommodations, some sort of meal credit and airport transfers. Some offer additional amenities, check them all out for details.
Wednesday
An Avis one-day car rental for $30 and an Avis President’s Club Membership for $750 are Wednesday’s offerings.
Thursday
Four Choice Hotel points packages (14,000, 28,000, 42,000 and 55,000) ranging in price from $80 to $265 can be purchased on Thursday.
Friday
Five different Loews Hotels 2-night package deals are available Friday. Stays in Miami, New York City, Santa Monica and two packages that allow you to select from a number of destinations are up for grabs for those who enjoy Loews Hotels.
Quick Thoughts
Unless you’re topping off your Choice points for a particular stay, I wouldn’t speculatively make a points purchase. That’s often true for most hotel loyalty points offerings.
The Caesars packages can offer value for those who enjoy a few nights of gambling. Usually the dining credits and show tickets found on some deals make the purchase worthwhile.
I’ve always encouraged checking hotel pricing for a time you’d likely be visiting a specific property before purchasing any hotel package deal – I’m mentioning this in connection with the Loews packages, but this can apply to the Vegas deals, too. Often the packages are a better deal, but maybe not by much if extras aren’t included.
The Avis one-day car rental can be a good deal, especially if you buy multiples to cover a full trip’s car rental – you can buy up to 7. The Avis President’s Club Membership is something only major road warriors should consider.
That said, head to the Daily Getaways site, check pricing on individual deals and plan out your week 2 purchase strategy.
Daily Getaways Ins and Outs
All Daily Getaways deals go on sale at 1:00 pm ET the day they are listed.
Deal quantities are listed on an individual deal’s page on the Daily Getaways calendar. For popular deals, they will go quickly, so be ready to click the “Buy Now” button right at 1:00 pm.
Actually, if there is any deal in which you’re interested, just to be safe I’d be ready to buy right at 1:00 pm when the deal opens.
As with anything in life, the details matter, so for deals you’re interested in, be sure to look at the fine print…it’s listed on each individual deal at the Daily Getaways site.
That said, scope out the deals that interest you for this week, set your cell phone alarm for 12:50 pm the day of the deal and get ready to buy!
I’ll see you next weekend with my rundown of the upcoming week’s deals.
Until then, here’s hoping you get the travel deal(s) of your choice!
