Roku Users Get 1 Month of DirecTV Now Free

DirecTV Now – DirecTV’s Internet TV streaming service – is offering new subscribers with a Roku streaming device 1 free month of any DirecTV Now plan.

Typically, DirecTV Now’s free trial is for 1 week only – with this deal, you get an extra 3 weeks to decide if DirecTV Now is right for you.

During sign-up, you must use the Promo Code: ROKU1MONTH to start your 1-month free trial.

As mentioned, you can use the free month for any DirecTV Now plan, even its highest tier 120-channel Gotta Have It option that runs $70 per month.

Here’s the fine print for the 1-month free trial deal.

While this deal is supposed to be for those using a Roku device to stream, there have been reports that you do not have to actually use a Roku to watch DirecTV Now once signed up.  Streaming via a browser (signing up that way, too) seems to work.

However, if you don’t sign-up using your Roku, make sure you’re getting the 1-month free deal and not the normal 7-day free trial.

And, if you don’t actually want to keep the service once your free trial ends, be sure to cancel prior to the end of your free month, otherwise, you’ll be billed for the plan you signed up for.  That might be a $70 surprise on your credit card statement.
